The Triumph of SRMSAT-1
The journey began with SRMSAT-1, a landmark nanosatellite built entirely by the students and faculty of SRM University. Launched by ISRO on October 12, 2011, its mission was to monitor greenhouse gases, contributing valuable data to climate science.
A testament to its robust design and the team's dedication, SRMSAT-1 has far outlived its planned mission duration. It remains operational in orbit to this day, a continuing source of pride and a powerful foundation for our current project, SRMSAT-2.
